This rapidly growing business was using a legacy, on-premise WMS that lacked flexibility. They were unable to extend ERP integration or offer basic MRP features. Hampers With Bite required a new solution accessible from anywhere prior to the peak Christmas production and distribution season. Additionally, parallel operation of the existing legacy system needed to be maintained during the transition to manage overall business risk. Add to this, a new B2B batch order import system required to reduce manual data entry for large corporate orders.
Solution and implementation
Datapel Cloud.WMS delivered a hosted, scalable solution that worked in parallel with the old system, enabling a smooth transition. Ultimately, the legacy tool was decommissioned ahead of schedule. The Datapel integration with Smart Freight Management solution and real-time printing of consignment labels both increased productivity and order output capacity.
